About
Hello and thanks for stopping by!
I’m Amy — and according to my wonderful late mother‑in‑law, Daphne, “everyone needs one.” I’m not sure how true that is, but over the years I’ve gathered some pretty handy skills and experience, and I love putting them to good use helping others.
For 30 years I worked as an administrator, coordinator, and team leader across the legal sector, public services, the arts, media, mental health, and even hospitality (bars, restaurants, cafés). These days I run a micro‑community enterprise called Sort My Life, where I get to combine all the things I love most: helping people, being creative, solving problems, and building connections.
Life outside of work is full of music, film, and a bit of joyful chaos thanks to my two kids, four chickens, and a goofy 'boxerdor' (half lab/half boxer). I’m also a musician and filmmaker, and I regularly perform as a dancer and drummer with two big Afro‑Brazilian samba bands at community spaces and festivals across Wales.
Whether you need practical support, a listening ear, to get creative or just be a bit silly for a few hours, Sort My Life is here for you.

Mission
Sort My Life exists to provide flexible, practical support for both private clients and those using direct payments in Wales. Direct payments are designed to give people more choice and control over the support they receive — and I’m proud to be part of this growing movement. With loneliness affecting 1 in 10 adults, my service goes beyond basic care, offering authentic relationships, creative companionship, practical help and technical support. Alongside this, I celebrate Life Stories through film and storytelling, building a community rooted in dignity, connection, and empowerment.

Vision
My vision is to nurture a community where people feel truly empowered to live as the best version of themselves. Through Sort My Life, I provide everyday support in a fun and compassionate way, giving individuals the freedom to choose the care that fits them best. I believe in a future where those facing barriers in a world not built for everyone can thrive — and where authentic connection becomes the force that changes the world from the ground up.
